What You’ll Do
As a Manufacturer Sourcing & Onboarding Intern, you’ll support our engineering and sourcing teams by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding best-fit suppliers into our network. You’ll play a key role in shaping the quality and reliability of our global manufacturing ecosystem.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching manufacturing companies that meet our quality, process, and capability standards
- Contacting prospective manufacturers via email and video meetings
- Conducting structured interviews to assess communication, technical capabilities, certifications, and quality systems
- Reviewing supplier case studies, sample parts, and past projects for fit
- Maintaining detailed supplier profiles and documentation
- Guiding vetted manufacturers through our onboarding workflow
- Flagging risks or inconsistencies in supplier claims
- Collaborating with our product design and engineering teams to align suppliers with client project requirements
Who You Are
- Experience with or exposure to manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, molding, casting, 3DP, sheet metal)
- Familiar with design-for-manufacturing principles and production methods
- Strong verbal and written English skills for clear, professional communication
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with sound judgment on quality and process risk
- Comfortable using structured workflows, checklists, and technical documentation
- Engineering coursework or hands-on manufacturing experience preferred
- Have your own laptop and stable internet connection for remote work
