Job Description:
In the Finance and Corporate Strategy team we ensure that the business’s capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused. This is how we work to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. By gathering and analysing financial data we can influence decisions within the business, drive initiatives, and help ensure alignment with our wider objectives.
What you’ll do:
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Business Leaders to drive the financial plan for the Product BU.
- Drive the month end close process to ensure accuracy of the books of account.
- Maintain strong cross functional engagement to ensure that the Product BU's deliver key metrics in the financial plan.
- Develop strong understanding of the multiple financial systems including Anaplan, EAP, EGI and S4 GL.
- Provide analysis to the Lead Analyst/ Finance & BU Management on the key financial metrics to enable decision making.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and HPE Internal financial policies to ensure a compliant framework.
- Partner with Controllership/ Tax to support local legal compliance/ reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial data via strong excel skills and provide input on key trends in the underlying data
- Partner with WW GBU Finance stakeholders to resolve any open issues impacting Geo P&L.
- Support WW reviews by preparing decks with key financial information.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- First-level university degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- Typically 6+ years of progressive experience in Business Finance, Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong expertise in month-end and quarter-end closure activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA (or similar ERP systems) for financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, data analysis, pivot tables, and dashboards).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience in preparing MIS reports, financial statements, and management presentations.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective stakeholder management.
