Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction:Greeting guests, presenting menus, taking orders (including dietary restrictions and allergies), offering recommendations, and providing excellent service.
- Food and Beverage Service:Serving food and drinks promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation, and checking on guests during their meal.
- Order Management:Using POS systems or other methods to accurately record orders and communicate them to the kitchen.
- Payment Handling:Delivering bills, processing payments (cash or card), and handling any necessary change.
- Table Maintenance:Setting tables, clearing used dishes and glasses, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Problem Solving:Addressing any issues or complaints from customers, finding solutions, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Teamwork:Cooperating with kitchen staff, other servers, and restaurant management to ensure smooth service.
- Hygiene and Safety:Following health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and maintaining a clean environment.
- Upselling:Suggesting additional items or specials to increase sales.
