Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team and support business development efforts in government contracting. The candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, evaluating requirements, and leading the preparation of compelling, compliant proposals. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Search for and identify relevant contracting opportunities.
- Review solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, etc.) to assess fit with company capabilities.
- Conduct initial compliance analysis and recommend a go/no-go decision to management.
- Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and detailed task breakdowns for proposal preparation.
- Coordinate with management and technical teams to gather required inputs and content.
- Draft, edit, and structure proposal content (technical, management, past performance, pricing sections) for clarity and compliance.
- Prepare proposal schedules and manage deadlines to ensure timely submission.
- Lead internal reviews, integrate feedback, and produce final polished documents.
- Maintain templates, past performance data, and reusable proposal content library.
- Monitor and track submissions, ensuring compliance with submission guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Technology, or related field.
- Prior experience in government contracting proposals is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal/state procurement processes, compliance requirements, and proposal standards.
- Background in technology (IT services, cybersecurity, AI, data, cloud, or software development) preferred.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with proposal tools (e.g., SharePoint, Zoho, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote role (India-based), with flexibility to overlap with U.S. business hours when needed.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
