Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of DEF and lubricant blending and packaging.
- Monitor batch production schedules, blending processes, filling, and dispatch.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), recipes, and process parameters.
- Maintain accurate production logs and reports.
2. Quality Control:
- Work closely with QA/QC team to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Address and troubleshoot quality issues during production.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformities.
3. Equipment & Maintenance:
- Ensure proper functioning of plant machinery such as mixers, filling lines, pumps, storage tanks, etc.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown support.
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards promptly.
4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Enforce compliance with HSE standards and internal safety policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and risk assessments regularly.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and promote a safety-first culture among workers.
5. Team Management:
- Lead and supervise a team of plant operators and helpers.
- Assign duties and monitor performance of shift personnel.
- Provide training on plant operations, safety procedures, and quality control.
6. Inventory & Raw Material Handling:
- Monitor raw material usage and coordinate with warehouse/logistics for timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals, lubricants, and DEF.
- Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in plant operations, preferably in DEF, lubricants, or chemical blending industries.
- Strong knowledge of blending processes, filling operations, and industrial safety.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, MSDS, and handling of hazardous materials.
- Ability to lead teams, manage production KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Proficient in MS Office and basic plant automation systems.
