- Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Prepare and deliver lectures, presentations, and discussions on various political science topics, including political ideologies, systems, and current events.
- Design, implement, and revise course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments to align with educational standards and student learning outcomes.
- Develop and update course materials, including readings, handouts, and online resources.
- Student Engagement and Support:
- Facilitate classroom discussions and encourage student participation in analyzing political issues and current events.
- Provide guidance and support to students on academic and career goals, including advising on course selection, research projects, and internships.
- Maintain student records, grades, and attendance.
- Research and Professional Development:
- Conduct research in their area of expertise and publish findings in scholarly journals or books.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in political science through reading, attending conferences, and engaging with colleagues.
- Contribute to the field through teaching, research, and scholarly publications.
- Other Responsibilities:
- May be involved in mentoring, supervising research projects, or assisting students with presentations.
- May provide expert commentary and analysis on political issues through media or public speaking.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of the field.
