Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ physical, emotional, developmental, and psychological condition.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.
- Provide therapy to improve patients’ abilities in daily living activities (ADLs) like dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment like wheelchairs, splints, or dressing aids.
- Monitor and document progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients’ families and caregivers about care plans and how to support recovery at home.
- Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports as per regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care planning.
- Stay updated with developments in occupational therapy and rehabilitation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Registered with relevant Occupational Therapy Council or licensing board.
- Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred (fresher may be considered).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work empathetically and patiently with individuals with varying disabilities.
