The Cards & Connected Commerce Finance team offers a dynamic opportunity to provide real-time insights on business performance, financial reporting, and investment decisioning. With dedicated CFO support for each card product, the team translates business scenarios into actionable financial insights, aiding in real-time decision-making. This strategic group helps senior executives manage and forecast financial profitability, overseeing monthly and quarterly forecasts, CCAR Stress testing, and annual budget reporting. Additionally, the team leads financial projects and key analyses to support the Cards leadership team, contributing to Investor Day presentations and Senior Leader Conferences.
As a Marketing Finance Associate within the Cards & Connected Commerce Finance team, you will partner with stakeholders to effectively manage expenses, prepare materials and coordinate deliverables for senior stakeholders, conduct financial analysis to deliver actionable insights, and collaborate with marketing teams on budget and forecast activities. You will also build and maintain business cases for strategic initiatives and take initiative on building dashboards to enhance reporting packages.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to effectively manage expenses
- Prepare materials and coordinate deliverables for senior stakeholders (e.g., project status updates, strategic analysis, presentations), to facilitate decision-making in business reviews, war rooms, and budget reviews with the Chief Financial Officer
- Conduct financial analysis and deliver actionable insights to grow the business, improve product profitability
- Partner with Marketing teams on annual budget and forecast, monthly variance analysis, and identifying key drivers behind business results
- Build and maintain business cases for strategic initiatives in partnership with product owners, tech and digital teams
- Take initiative on building dashboards to enhance existing reporting packages
- Be responsive to senior stakeholders, help problem solve, selectively assist with ad hoc analyses
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in relevant Financial Services experience
- Intellectual curiosity and exceptional problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong organizational skills, including good judgment and decision making abilities
- Capable of working in a dynamic environment and managing multiple projects with tight timelines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA), CFA/FRM is plus
