Invoice Clerk Job Description (Knowledge for Tally Prime)
An Invoice Clerk is responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring that they are accurately recorded, and overseeing financial transactions related to invoices. In an organization using Tally Prime (a popular accounting software), the Invoice Clerk will need to have a strong understanding of the software’s features for efficient data management and reporting.
Tally Prime Invoice Entry:
- Record Sales & Purchase Invoices: Enter sales and purchase invoices into Tally Prime, maintaining accuracy in data entry for each transaction (including GST and other taxes).
- Create Invoice Templates: Configure customized invoice templates in Tally Prime according to company standards.
- Address any discrepancies or disputes regarding invoicing.
- Communicate with vendors and customers about outstanding payments or delivery issues.
- Generate reports in Tally Prime, such as:
