Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Surveyor to assess damages or losses claimed by policyholders and determine the legitimacy, extent, and cost of insurance claims. The surveyor will play a critical role in minimizing fraud and ensuring fair settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess the extent of damage or loss to insured properties (e.g., vehicles, buildings, goods, etc.)
Visit the site of accidents, theft, or disasters to collect evidence and take photographs.
Prepare factual, unbiased, and detailed survey/inspection reports.
Verify the validity of claims and policy coverage.
Estimate repair or replacement costs based on standard industry rates.
Liaise with policyholders, claimants, repairers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
Recommend approval, partial approval, or rejection of claims with supporting justification.
Follow regulatory guidelines as prescribed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and compliance.
Ensure timely submission of reports and adherence to company turnaround times.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or a related field (mechanical/civil engineers preferred for vehicle/property insurance).
Must be licensed/registered with IRDAI as an Insurance Surveyor or Loss Assessor (or willing to obtain license).
Strong knowledge of insurance processes and claim handling procedures.
Excellent analytical and observational skills.
Good communication and report-writing abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and mobile survey tools/apps.
Willingness to travel frequently for on-site assessments.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
