Job Summary:
We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented Hospital Pharmacist to join our dedicated team at Ortho-One. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, managing pharmacy inventory, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient service in an orthopaedic hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications for both Outpatient (OP) and Inpatient (IP) departments based on prescriptions.
- Review and interpret prescriptions, ensuring correct dosage, route, and administration aligned with orthopaedic treatments.
- Provide counselling to OP patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and proper storage.
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff to ensure the timely delivery of medications for admitted patients.
- Maintain inventory and stock records of orthopaedic-specific drugs, surgical consumables, and injectables.
- Monitor and manage short-expiry and non-moving inventory items regularly.
- Comply with all Ortho-One protocols for handling narcotic and controlled substances.
- Ensure availability and prompt dispensing of emergency and ortho-related medications.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: D.Pharm or B.Pharm from a recognised institution. Valid Pharmacist License/Registration
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience. Prior experience in orthopaedic pharmacy is preferred. Exposure to OP, IP, and OT pharmacy operations is required
- Skills: 1) Strong understanding of pharmaceuticals and inventory management. 2) Proficient in interpreting prescriptions and using pharmacy billing software. 3) Attention to detail, responsibility, and excellent patient service orientation
