Job Summary:
The Front Office Executive – Billing & Customer Care is the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is responsible for managing billing activities, patient registration, and providing high-quality customer service to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all hospital visitors.
Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Reception & Customer Service
- Greet patients and visitors courteously and professionally.
- Handle patient inquiries, appointments, and direct them to appropriate departments.
- Maintain a calm and helpful demeanor in handling patient concerns or complaints.
2. Billing & Cash Handling
- Generate and process patient bills accurately using hospital software.
- Handle daily billing, invoicing, and cash collection activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
- Coordinate with the insurance desk for TPA/Insurance-related billing.
3. Registration & Documentation
- Register new and returning patients in the hospital system.
- Verify patient details and maintain updated records.
- Collect necessary documentation for insurance or medical records.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for smooth patient flow.
- Communicate estimated costs and treatment packages clearly to patients.
- Escalate complex issues to supervisors or appropriate authorities.
5. Administrative Support
- Maintain cleanliness and order at the front desk.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up reminders.
- Handle emails, calls, and interdepartmental communication as needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Minimum HSC or Graduate in any discipline (Preferred: Degree).
- Experience: 1–3 years in a hospital or healthcare setup, preferably in front office or billing.
- Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication in English and local language.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management software (e.g., HIS).
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Working Hours:
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per hospital requirements.
