- Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of dishes.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks such as chopping, peeling, marinating, and mixing.
- Support Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines (HACCP standards if applicable).
- Store ingredients properly and monitor stock freshness.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
- Report shortages of ingredients or equipment to supervisors.
- Minimize food wastage through proper portioning and storage.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Be open to training and learning new skills from senior chefs.
- Take instructions and feedback positively to improve performance.
- Prepare mise en place (ingredients, sauces, garnishes) before service.
- Support in maintaining kitchen equipment in proper working condition.
- Ensure timely preparation of food orders as per service requirements.
