Job Description
Your tasks
As Data Governance Analyst for ContiTech, you will be at the heart of our efforts to ensure that data is managed with integrity, transparency, and accountability across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and IT partners to implement governance frameworks, monitor data quality, and support compliance initiatives. Your role will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of responsible data ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Enforcing data governance policies and standards across functional areas to ensure consistent application and compliance
- Maintaining and updating governance documentation, monitoring tools, and process artifacts
- Tracking data quality metrics and compliance KPIs, and escalating issues to maintain data integrity
- Preparing reports and dashboards for governance performance reviews to support leadership decision-making
- Contributing to the refinement of governance frameworks and standards in alignment with corporate policies
- Supporting training and communication initiatives to build awareness and adoption of governance practices
- Conducting research on best practices and emerging trends to enhance governance processes and tools
- Proposing improvements based on operational insights and stakeholder feedback
- Providing operational support for governance tools and metadata systems, ensuring catalog accuracy and effective process execution
Qualifications
Your profile
Education: Degree in Information Management, Business Informatics, Business Economics, or related field
Certifications: Data Governance or Data Privacy certifications (e.g., DGSP, CIPP/E) are a plus
Experience:
- 3–5 years in data governance, data quality, or related roles in enterprise environments
- Experience supporting or managing governance processes, including policy enforcement, metadata management, and compliance tracking
- Familiarity with governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) and reporting interfaces (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Proven ability to work across global or distributed teams
Skills:
- Strong understanding of data ownership models, stewardship roles, and governance operating models
- Advanced knowledge of data quality dimensions and rule definition
- Proficiency in documentation, stakeholder communication, and workshop facilitation
- Awareness of GDPR, data privacy, and compliance-relevant governance requirements
- Basic hands-on experience with governance tools and metadata systems
- Strong analytical mindset and continuous improvement orientation
