Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain and manage the inventory of chemicals and other warehouse materials.
- Regularly check stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of items.
- Implement efficient inventory control systems (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations specific to chemical handling are strictly followed.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
- Handle hazardous materials with care and ensure proper labeling and storage.
- Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers and transportation companies to ensure the timely arrival of shipments.
- Work closely with procurement and production departments to align inventory levels with demand.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory levels, and warehouse transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation for chemical storage, including safety data sheets (SDS), and shipment tracking.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise the loading and unloading of goods.
- Organize the layout of the warehouse to optimize space and material handling.
- Manage warehouse staff and ensure productivity targets are met.
