- Greeting and Seating:Warmly welcoming guests and guiding them to their tables.
- Menu Presentation & Explanation:Providing menus, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations.
- Order Taking:Accurately taking food and drink orders, communicating them to the kitchen, and ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Food & Beverage Service:Delivering orders to the correct tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Checking on Guests:Regularly checking on diners during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any needs.
- Handling Payments & Providing Bills:Preparing and presenting bills, processing payments, and handling cash or credit card transactions.
- Addressing Concerns:Promptly and professionally addressing any customer complaints or concerns, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
Other Important Responsibilities:
- Table Maintenance:Keeping tables clean and tidy, clearing away used dishes and glasses.
- Side Work:Assisting with tasks such as setting tables, restocking supplies, and preparing for service.
- Teamwork:Collaborating effectively with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management.
- Maintaining Cleanliness & Safety:Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe dining environment.
- Upselling:Suggesting additional items like appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the dining experience.
