- G-code Programming: Proficiency in writing, editing, and troubleshooting G-code, which is the programming language used to control CNC machines.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Capability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications to translate design requirements into machining operations.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient production.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is critical in machining; a VMC programmer must pay close attention to dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
