Position Overview
The Vice Principal will serve as the second-in-command to the Principal, responsible for ensuring smooth academic and administrative functioning of the school. This is a leadership role that demands visionary thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to implement innovative practices in line with the school’s mission of nurturing future-ready learners.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Oversee the implementation of CBSE curriculum across classes with excellence and compliance.
- Monitor teaching quality, lesson planning, and student performance through systematic reviews.
- Drive 21st-century learning initiatives including project-based learning, digital integration, critical thinking, and creativity.
- Mentor and guide faculty to ensure continuous professional development.
Administrative Management
- Assist the Principal in day-to-day school administration and operations.
- Supervise timetable, faculty deployment, and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Oversee discipline, student attendance, and smooth conduct of academic and co-curricular activities.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE norms, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Student Development & Welfare
- Promote a culture of holistic development through academics, sports, arts, and extracurricular activities.
- Design and monitor initiatives for leadership, innovation, life skills, and moral values.
- Address student concerns, grievances, and ensure a positive school environment.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong parent-school partnerships through PTMs, workshops, and transparent communication.
- Represent the school in community outreach programs, competitions, and external collaborations.
Institutional Growth
- Support the Principal in strategic initiatives for school growth and reputation.
- Lead special projects (events, MUNs, exchange programs, talent fests, etc.) ensuring 200+ participant engagement in each.
- Work with management to align academic goals with the school’s long-term vision.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Education or related field with B.Ed. mandatory.
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/coordination role.
- Strong familiarity with CBSE norms, inspections, and affiliation guidelines.
- Proven record in faculty management, academic innovation, and event leadership.
