Inviting applications for the role of Vice President – Tax Strategy & Operations
Reporting to SVP, Global Head of Tax, the Vice President – Tax Strategy & Operations in its highly visible, tax executive role, responsible for Genpact global tax provision, transfer pricing and work closely with outside tax advisors around the world to implement strategic opportunities to optimize Genpact tax position.
Responsibilities
• Leading a team of India based professionals, oversight of US GAAP consolidation on quarterly and annual basis, ensuring compliance with all tax disclosure requirements for purposes of 10Q and 10K filing (e.g. tax related risks, tax footnote, etc.).
• Responsible for oversight and implementation of tax accounting policies as per US GAAP.
• Responsible for ensuring consistent SOX compliance on tax related matters.
• Drafting memoranda supporting tax provision for US GAAP purposes, including unremitted earnings, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, tax accounting policies, etc.
• Work closely with counterparts in tax team, including tax leader for AsiaPac(India based) Americas (US based) and EMEA (Europe based)
• Work closely with controllership, legal, finance as well as other tax leaders in gathering data, supporting cross functional planning projects and as needed to support preparation of statutory audits
• Manage relationship with external auditors and tax consultants as well as constant collaboration with legal, controllership, and other teams within Genpact.
• Act as leader to support implementation of the company's transfer pricing strategy, policy and calculations to ensure consistent compliance with international and local tax laws.
• Identify opportunities and lead implementation of tax planning strategies as well as support cash management initiatives of Genpact Treasury team.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
• CA/ CPA
• Relevant years of progressive experience in tax roles with significant exposure to multinational environments.
• Extensive experience managing US GAAP and managing transfer pricing and international tax planning opportunities. Expertise on both areas is a plus but strong analytical candidates with strong experience on one of these areas and enough qualifications to take on the other aspects of the role will also be considered.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience in Big Four firm, Multinational Companies highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax issues.
• Experience with tax software and systems, is a plus.
• Collaborative team player who is a good “learner-teacher’ continuously developing its team and those around you.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in international tax matters is an advantage.
• Prior experience in tax reporting under US GAAP is an advantage.
