Key Responsibilities:
- Operate conventional lathe machines to perform turning operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and job orders.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material type.
- Perform facing, threading, grooving, taper turning, and other lathe operations.
- Ensure components meet required dimensions using measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, dial gauge, etc.).
- Maintain machine tools and ensure cleanliness and lubrication.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure quality and productivity.
- Follow safety protocols and 5S practices in the machine shop.
- Record daily production and machine usage details.
