The Trail Room Security Guard is responsible for maintaining safety and security within the changing room (trail room) areas of a retail store or similar facility. This role includes preventing theft, protecting customers and staff, monitoring suspicious activities, and ensuring company policies are followed in trail room usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the entrance and exit of the trail room area.
- Count garments before customers enter and after they exit to prevent theft.
- Ensure that only a permitted number of items are taken into the trail room.
- Watch for suspicious behavior or security risks and respond appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with store staff regarding potential shoplifting or policy violations.
- Escort individuals to trail rooms when necessary and ensure the space is clean and safe.
- Operate surveillance equipment when assigned.
- Handle customer concerns or incidents in a professional and discreet manner.
- Report all incidents or security breaches to the Security Supervisor.
- Maintain logs of daily activities and incident reports
