We are seeking a qualified and passionate Social Science Teacher to deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned instruction to students of Grades 9 and 10 in accordance with CBSE guidelines. The ideal candidate should inspire critical thinking, civic responsibility, and a love for history, geography, political science, and economics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans as per CBSE curriculum for Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics).
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments as per the academic calendar.
- Incorporate innovative teaching methods including experiential learning, project-based learning, and integration of digital tools.
- Prepare students for board exams through regular practice tests and revision sessions.
- Maintain academic records, track student progress, and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Promote critical thinking, debate, and analysis in classroom discussions.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning.
- Participate in school events, PTMs, departmental meetings, and professional development programs.
- Guide and mentor students in social science-related competitions, exhibitions, and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in History/Geography/Political Science/Economics or equivalent.
- B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in middle or high school (CBSE preferred).
- Familiarity with NCERT textbooks and CBSE assessment pattern.
Skills Required:
- Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage students with differentiated learning techniques.
- Technologically proficient (Google Classroom, Smart Boards, MS Office, etc.).
- Empathetic, student-centric approach.
