The TGT Sanskrit Teacher is responsible for teaching Sanskrit to middle and secondary school students, ensuring conceptual understanding, language proficiency, and appreciation for the cultural and literary heritage of Sanskrit. The role involves lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and participation in school activities.
Key Responsibilities:1. Teaching & Learning
- Deliver engaging and interactive Sanskrit lessons for Grades [Specify classes, e.g., 6–10].
- Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the school curriculum and CBSE/ICSE/State Board guidelines.
- Integrate modern teaching techniques, audio-visual aids, and digital tools to enhance learning.
- Ensure that students understand grammar, vocabulary, and literary aspects of Sanskrit.
2. Student Assessment
- Prepare and conduct class tests, assignments, and examinations as per the schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of students' performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional support or remedial classes when needed.
3. Curriculum Development
- Participate in curriculum planning and contribute to improving the Sanskrit syllabus.
- Prepare worksheets, question papers, and other academic resources.
4. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and create a positive learning environment.
- Encourage students to participate in debates, recitations, and Sanskrit cultural activities.
5. Co-Curricular & School Activities
- Organize and assist in events related to Sanskrit Day, cultural programs, and competitions.
- Support the school in other academic and extracurricular initiatives.
6. Professional Development
- Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with latest educational methodologies and Sanskrit literature.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sanskrit with B.Ed. (mandatory).
- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience at middle or secondary level (preferred).
- Strong command of Sanskrit language, grammar, and literature.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Familiarity with technology-based teaching tools (Smartboards, LMS, etc.).
