Key Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines and equipment to construct, alter, and finish garments.
- Follow patterns, measurements, and instructions accurately.
- Inspect and measure garments to determine necessary alterations.
- Perform quality checks on garments to ensure stitching and finishing meet production standards.
- Collaborate with cutting, pressing, and quality control teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the sewing area.
- Identify and report machine malfunctions or material defects.
- Meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a tailor or in a similar garment manufacturing role.
- Ability to use a variety of industrial sewing machines (e.g., single needle, overlock, flatlock).
- Good understanding of garment construction and production techniques.
- Attention to detail and high standard of workmanship.
- Ability to follow technical specifications and patterns.
- Physical stamina for repetitive tasks in a factory environment.
- Team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in mass garment production.
- Vocational training or certification in tailoring or fashion technology.
- Familiarity with different fabrics and materials.
