- Create custom garments based on client measurements and specifications
- Perform fittings, alterations, and adjustments on a variety of clothing including suits, dresses, formal wear, and casual wear
- Supervise or train junior tailors and seamstresses as needed
- Select and handle fabrics, patterns, linings, and accessories for each garment
- Maintain and operate sewing machines and other tailoring equipment
- Ensure timely delivery of garments while maintaining high-quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of client measurements, orders, and alterations
- Collaborate with designers or fashion consultants when needed
- Provide professional style and fit advice to clients during consultations and fittings
