Loading & Unloading Supervisor

Job Brief:
We are looking for a fresher and experienced Loading and Unloading Supervisor to oversee all inbound and outbound material handling operations. You will be responsible for leading a team to ensure that material are loaded and unloaded from vehicles safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of materials, and upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence in the plant or site.
Responsibilities:
1. Loading Supervision:
· Ensure material are loaded accurately as per DO list, invoice, and route plan.
· Supervise loading team to ensure correct handling of items and avoid damage during loading.
· Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices while loading where applicable.
2. Coordination with Teams:
· Coordinate with dispatch team and drivers for smooth loading operations.
· Ensure vehicles are ready, clean, and compliant before initiating loading.
3. Documentation & Verification:
· Verify dispatch documents (invoice, LR, DO) before loading.
· Ensure proper stamping, stickering, and sealing of material where applicable.
4. System Updates:
· Update loading status in ERP to ensure real-time tracking of shipments.
· Report any discrepancies (shortage & mismatch) to the dispatch or inventory team immediately.
5. Safety & Compliance:
· Ensure loading follows safety protocols.
· Confirm all Driver staff use PPE and safe practices during inside the plant.
· Comply with internal SOPs and statutory norms related to transport and dispatch.
6. Vehicle Turnaround & Efficiency:
· Monitor and record vehicle turnaround time (TAT) and suggest improvements for faster operations.
· Coordinate to avoid delays or congestion during peak loading hours.
Specification
· Experience: Fresher & Experience in a supervisory capacity overseeing both loading and unloading functions.
· Qualification: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree and above.
· Technical Skill: Proficient in Microsoft Office for reporting and communication.
· Equipment Knowledge: Experience with the operation of material handling equipment.
· Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, providing clear direction and fostering a positive work environment.
· Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors in documentation and inventory counts.
· Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for coordinating with drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle operational challenges and resolve discrepancies swiftly.
· Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of a warehouse environment.
