A Store Assistant supports the daily operations of a retail store, focusing on customer service, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. They assist customers with purchases, stock shelves, and manage inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers and provide excellent service.
Answer customer inquiries and help them find products.
Handle customer complaints and queries professionally.
Process sales transactions using point-of-sale systems.
Inventory Management:
Receive, unpack, and label new shipments.
Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed effectively.
Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and sales.
Store Maintenance:
Keep the store clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Assist with store promotions and visual merchandising.
May assist with end-of-day cleaning duties.
Additional Tasks:
May operate cash registers and handle cash transactions.
May assist with store security and health and safety procedures.
May be involved in training new staff.
May assist with store promotions and sales.
