- Operate and monitor heat treatment furnaces (annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering, etc.) according to process specifications.
- Interpret and follow heat treatment charts, work instructions, and metallurgical specifications.
- Load and unload castings using proper material handling tools, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure correct heat cycles (temperature, time, cooling rate) are applied to each batch.
- Conduct hardness testing and visual inspections post-treatment to verify results.
- Record process parameters, test results, and deviations accurately in logs and reports.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of heat treatment equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with foundry safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address any non-conformances or metallurgical issues.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to heat treatment processes.
