Overview: A Staff Nurse in an Ayurveda hospital is responsible for providing patient care within the framework of Ayurvedic principles, alongside administering medications and assisting with treatments. They also monitor patient conditions, educate patients and their families, and ensure the smooth functioning of the hospital environment, including the preparation of herbal remedies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Direct Patient Care:This includes assisting with admission and discharge procedures, maintaining patient hygiene and comfort, and ensuring patients receive appropriate nutrition, including feeding those who need assistance.
- Monitoring and Observation:Staff nurses are responsible for observing and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and reporting any changes to the doctor.
- Medication Administration:They administer medications, including oral, intravenous, and other forms, as prescribed by the doctor, following established protocols.
- Assisting with Treatments:They assist doctors with various medical and surgical procedures, prepare patients, and ensure necessary equipment is available.
- Maintaining a Safe Environment:This includes ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the patient's environment, as well as implementing infection control measures.
- Patient Education:They educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and preventative measures.
Ayurveda Specific Duties:
- Herbal Medicine Preparation:They may be involved in preparing and administering herbal remedies as prescribed in Ayurveda.
- Panchakarma Procedures:They may assist with or administer Panchakarma treatments, which are detoxification and rejuvenation therapies in Ayurveda.
- Understanding Ayurvedic Principles:They need to understand and apply the principles of Ayurveda to patient care.
General Nursing Responsibilities:
- Documentation:They maintain accurate medical records of patient care.
- Collaboration:They collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Following Protocols:They adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including emergency protocols.
- Communication:They communicate effectively with patients, families, and other staff members.
- Supervisory Role:In some cases, they may oversee the work of other nursing staff or support personnel.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
