Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified * Full-Time Special Educator* to join our team. The educator will be responsible for conducting assessments, identifying children with learning difficulties, and collaborating with stakeholders to create intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct academic, behavioural, and developmental assessments for students referred for special education support.
- Maintain accurate, clear, and confidential documentation of assessment results.
- Provide initial recommendations for appropriate interventions and support services.
- Collaborate with the Samrasa Foundation team to prepare reports and ensure effective follow-up.
- Facilitate awareness and sensitisation sessions as required.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of special education practices and child development.
- Knowledge of Occupational Therapy techniques and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) approaches.
- Comfortable working in a clinical setting with children and families.
- Prior experience working with autistic children, ADHD, and other developmental or learning differences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents).
- Good communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Minimum 2 year of experience in special education or inclusive education settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to different schools independently.
- Passion for working with children and promoting inclusive education.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday (10AM - 6 PM)
Flexible Saturday (2 Saturdays Working)
Remuneration:
Competitive part-time stipend, commensurate with experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
