Job Description:
As a Software R&D Manager at Ceragon, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, data scientists, and system architects in the development and evolution of our cutting-edge Network Digital Twin platform. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a technically strong and visionary manager with deep expertise in Software Development, AI/ML, and data-driven systems. You will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering scalable, production-grade solutions that integrate seamlessly with customer networks and third-party systems. This role requires a proactive, customer-oriented mindset and an ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and timely delivery.
- Act as a key technical liaison with customers, vendors, and third-party platforms, ensuring predictable schedule, as well as successful integration and timely with high quality solution delivery.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced software features and solutions such as GUI, robust APIs, AI/ML, predictive analytics, and real-time data processing
- Manage the full R&D lifecycle - from architecture and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Ensure high standards of software quality, performance, and security across all deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with product management, sales engineering, support teams, and external stakeholders to align R&D efforts with business goals and customer needs.
- Initiate and lead proof-of-concept projects and research initiatives to explore emerging technologies and methodologies.
Requirements
Qualification and Experience:
- B.E. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Networking Engineering; M. Tech. is an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in software development within the telecommunications domain (fiber, optics, wireless), including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles, including technical consulting, solution delivery, or support.
- Strong experience working with external vendors and third-party platforms.
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, including NLP, chatbots, and predictive analytics.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, and API development/integration.
- Experience with Linux and Windows environments, including deployment, upgrades, and patching.
- Hands-on experience with analytics platforms (e.g., ClickHouse, PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Microsoft Fabric).
- Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Advantage: Experience working in multinational teams and across multiple time zones.
