Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Shift Incharge to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in a power plant during the assigned shift. The role ensures continuous and safe power generation, adherence to operational standards, and quick resolution of breakdown
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor electrical operations of the plant during the shift.
Ensure uninterrupted power supply and maintain safe working conditions.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, motors, panels, UPS, DG sets, etc.).
Lead and guide the shift team for smooth plant operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns promptly.
Maintain shift logbooks, records, and reports of operations and incidents.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with operations, mechanical, and instrumentation teams for smooth workflow.
Monitor load distribution, power factor, and energy consumption.
Support in planning and executing shutdown, testing, and commissioning.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and switchgear operations.
Ability to lead shift teams and manage emergency situations.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting HT & LT equipment.
Good knowledge of safety procedures and statutory compliance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
