Responsibilities:

Application Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust applications utilizing technologies such as ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS.
• Implement GIS technologies and mapping tools, including Mapbox and LeafletJS, to enhance mapping functionalities within Capital IQ Pro.
• Integrate spatial data and generative AI capabilities into applications to provide advanced analytics and insights, enhancing user experience and decision-making processes.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with a tight-knit team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with developers across the globe to share knowledge, insights, and best practices, enriching the development process and fostering a culture of global teamwork.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and collaborative problem-solving sessions to foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Learning and Innovation:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in application development, GIS technologies, and generative AI.
• Proactively identify opportunities to integrate new tools and technologies into the development process to enhance application performance and user experience.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high standards of quality and performance.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain clear and concise documentation of code, processes, and system architectures.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and challenges to team leads and stakeholders.

Support and Troubleshooting:

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to users.
• Provide support for end-users and stakeholders as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and C#.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL, as well as caching technologies like Redis.
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, for application deployment and management.
• Strong understanding of GIS technologies and mapping libraries, specifically Mapbox and LeafletJS.
• Knowledge of integrating spatial data and generative AI technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Commitment to using best practices in software development, including coding standards, version control, and documentation, to ensure maintainability and scalability of applications.

Analytical Thinking:

• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Proficient in synthesizing information from multiple sources to inform decision-making.

Collaboration:

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a culture of mutual respect.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience of 5 to 9 years in software development, particularly in application development and GIS technologies.
