Role Purpose
The role is responsible for the management of books of accounts, reconciliations and collaborating with auditors in order to ensure timely reporting as well as OPEX closing and reporting in accordance with the guidelines and best practices being followed by the organization.
Role Accountability
- Ensure accounting and controls around operating expenses of the Company including day to day accounting and monthly/quarterly book closing as per applicable accounting standards (IND-AS/IGAAP) and Norms issued by companies act/regulators
- Ensure adequate expense provisions by preparing periodic ageing, keeping a check over material aged items to ensure validity/accuracy of long aged items
- Review Balance Sheet reconciliations, conduct ledger analysis on quarterly basis
- Lead Fixed Assets management: monitor daily accounting and maintenance of books of accounts, capitalization and retirement of fixed assets
- Lease Right of Use (ROU) assets management, monitor daily accounting and maintenance of books of accounts, capitalization and retirement of ROU assets.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly close, focusing on accurate balance sheet reporting for responsible areas, participation in BSA Packs & Dashboards, simplify processes for quicker closure
- Work with Business cross functions' teams on project base capitalization and ensure proper backups kept for the same
- Ensure Zero unreconciled accounts and no aged open items for reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain IGAAP& IND AS set of books of account on monthly / quarterly basis as per applicable accounting standards and ensure timely reporting to parent company.
- Ensure timely reporting to parent as per IGAAP books on a monthly/quarterly basis and Prepare/monitor a walk vs IND-as books
- Front end with auditors for OPEX and FA by regulators including RBI, CAG, Statutory and Internal Auditor and periodically update SOP and internal control assessments
- Ensure adherence to regular process documentation practices in compliance with the process guidelines
Measures of Success
- Timely closure of monthly/quarterly books and reviews
- Timely closure of audits with clean Audit reports
- Zero unreconciled accounts and no open items beyond 30 days for bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance to prescribed internal control, laid down policies and procedures related to Fixed Assets
- Compliance with IGAAP, IND-AS and Companies Act
- Timely and accurate updation of process documentation
- Process Adherence as per MOU
Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications
- Expertise in NBFC closing and reporting/controllership field.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP and other integrated Systems/Subsystems with strong influencing skills and project
- management skills
- Knowledge of Indian GAAP and Regulatory requirements
