Job Description Role Objective: The Qlik Sense developer will develop, and optimize Qlik Sense applications and dashboards, ensuring the seamless integration of data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights for informed decision-making across the organization.Roles & Responsibilities: • Business Understanding: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into Qlik solutions. • Arch/Design Documentation: Develop comprehensive architecture and design documentation for Qlik Sense applications and data models. • Dev Testing & Solution: Implement and oversee development testing to ensure the reliability and performance of Qlik Sense solutions. Provide solutions to identified issues and continuously improve application performance. • Understanding Coding Standards, Compliance & Infosecurity: Adhere to coding standards and ensure compliance with information security protocols and best practices. • Non-functional Requirement: Address non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and maintainability in the design and development of Qlik Sense applications.
Requirements: Technical Skills:
Core Qlik Sense Concepts: o Qlik Sense architecture and Associative Engine o ETL (Qlik Scripting, QVDs) and Visualization techniques. o Data modeling best practices (Star schema, Snowflake, etc.) o Qlik expressions (Set analysis, Aggregation functions, Calendar functions, Chart exp, Apply map etc.) o Security (Section access, Incremental data update) o Develop custom extensions (JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) o Performance optimization (Incremental loading, Caching, Aggregation etc.) o Server Administration (QMC, user license handling etc.) o Report template design & creation o Automation & scheduling reports (Repository Service API) o NPrinting SQL Concepts & Hands-on Experience: o Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). o SQL querying and data manipulation o SQL optimization techniques o Stored procedures o Indexing, Query Tuning Nice to Have: o Programming Language: Knowledge and hands-on experience in front end technologies. o Web Technologies: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is helpful for creating custom visualizations and extensions.
