Job Description
- Design and develop instrumentation systems for water, wastewater, and desalination projects using Revit and/or Plant 3D software.
- Create and modify technical drawings and models based on verbal and visual instructions from project managers and engineers.
- Manage work-sets and control visibility in Revit and/or Plant 3D models to ensure efficient collaboration with team members.
- Utilize various parameters in Revit and/or Plant 3D families and schedules to optimize design processes.
- Integrate specifications into models using Revit and/or Plant 3D, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate instrumentation designs with other engineering disciplines.
- Perform quality control checks on instrumentation designs and drawings to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Assist in the development of instrumentation design standards and best practices for the organization.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior designers and drafters.
- Participate in client meetings to present instrumentation designs and address technical queries.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in water, wastewater, and desalination instrumentation systems.
- Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates for instrumentation components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during project execution phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Assist in the development of equipment specifications and procurement documents for instrumentation system.
Qualifications
- Diploma (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute or university.
- 7 - 10 Years of experience in wastewater/water industry.
- Working Experience using Revit and/or Plant 3D and AutoCAD for water market-related designs.
- Drafting course from a recognised institute.
- Working experience using REVIT, AutoCAD and Microstation.
- Professional registration in their designated home office country or be in active pursuit of such registration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in instrumentation design for water, wastewater, and desalination projects.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to water and wastewater instrumentation.
- Experience with project management and coordination in multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
- Familiarity with equipment specifications and procurement processes for instrumentation systems.
- Ability to mentor junior designers and contribute to team development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
