SCM Executive – Job Responsibilities
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source materials and negotiate with suppliers for pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate performance periodically.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for proper storage, dispatch, and documentation.
- Logistics & Distribution Coordination
- Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Track shipments and manage delivery schedules with logistics partners.
- Order Processing & Fulfillment
- Coordinate sales orders with internal teams.
- Ensure smooth order-to-delivery flow and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Demand & Supply Planning
- Assist in forecasting demand and aligning supply accordingly.
- Work closely with sales and production to manage supply chain efficiency.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
- ERP & MIS Reporting
- Operate supply chain functions through ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
- Generate and analyze regular reports related to inventory, procurement, and logistics.
- Cost Optimization
- Identify areas for reducing supply chain costs without compromising service quality.
- Coordination Across Departments
- Act as a liaison between production, sales, finance, and logistics teams.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify supply chain risks and help implement contingency plans.
- Resolve issues like supplier delays, quality problems, or transportation mishaps.
