The School Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily non-academic operations of the school. This role ensures smooth functioning in areas such as administration, infrastructure, transport, safety, compliance, and vendor management. The Operations Executive works closely with the Principal and academic leadership team to provide a safe, efficient, and well-organized environment that supports effective teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administration & Compliance
- Manage all administrative functions, including office operations, record-keeping, and communication systems.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations (education board norms, safety laws, labor laws, etc.).
- Oversee admissions-related administrative processes in coordination with the academic team.
2. Infrastructure & Facilities Management
- Maintain school facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness at all times.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and upgrades of school buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and playgrounds.
- Supervise housekeeping, security, and support staff.
3. Finance & Resource Management
- Assist in budgeting, expense monitoring, and cost optimization for operations.
- Manage procurement of supplies, equipment, and vendor services within budgetary guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of school assets and inventory.
4. Transport & Logistics
- Oversee school transport services, ensuring student safety, punctuality, and compliance with transport regulations.
- Coordinate logistics for events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
5. Health, Safety & Security
- Implement safety policies and procedures, including emergency preparedness and child safeguarding protocols.
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards in cafeterias, washrooms, and medical facilities.
- Conduct regular safety audits and fire drills.
6. Staff & Stakeholder Coordination
- Supervise and support non-teaching staff including administrative assistants, drivers, housekeeping, and security personnel.
- Work closely with parents, vendors, and external agencies to resolve operational issues.
- Support the Principal in executing school events and community engagement programs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in school operations, administration, or facility management (education sector preferred).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations, safety standards, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and school management software
