Conduct regular safety inspections of container handling equipment (RTGs, forklifts, trailers, etc.) and infrastructure.
Inspect containers for structural damage, leakage, improper stacking, and secure lashing practices
Ensure safe movement of containers within the yard and to/from external transport vehicles.
Provide training and safety briefings to workers, drivers, and contractors.
Ensure proper signage, PPE usage, emergency response systems, and firefighting equipment are in place.
Inspect safety equipment such as spill kits, fire extinguishers, gas detectors, and eyewash stations.
Coordinate emergency response procedures in case of chemical leaks, spills, or fire incidents.
Conduct safety inspections of containers, especially those carrying hazardous chemicals or DG cargo, ensuring proper labeling, segregation, and documentation (as per IMDG Code).
Liaise with operations, transport, and external agencies on compliance with safety norms and port regulations.
Assist in drafting and updating SOPs, risk assessments, and chemical handling procedures.
