Job Role: Retoucher / Album Designer
Position Summary
The Retoucher / Album Designer is responsible for enhancing photographs and creating visually appealing wedding albums that align with the company’s creative standards and client expectations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and proficiency in photo editing and album design software.
Key Responsibilities
- Select, edit, and retouch images for album design with precision and aesthetic sense.
- Design wedding and event albums creatively, maintaining flow and storytelling.
- Ensure all images are color corrected, cropped, and retouched to professional quality.
- Maintain the style consistency across all client albums as per company standards.
- Collaborate with photographers, clients, and managers to finalize album layout.
- Prepare high-resolution files for printing and digital delivery.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within given deadlines.
- Organize and archive photo files and album designs efficiently.
- Follow client feedback and make necessary revisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a photo retoucher and album designer.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and album design software like SmartAlbums, Fundy Designer, or AlbumStomp.
- Strong understanding of color grading, skin retouching, and layout principles.
- Attention to detail and strong aesthetic sense.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Basic knowledge of print resolution, bleed, and export settings for albums.
- Good communication and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Photography, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Experience working in a wedding photography company is a plus.
- Familiarity with traditional and candid wedding photography styles.
