Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Merchandising Intern to support our merchandising team. The ideal candidate should have a background in fashion design and a keen interest in retail and visual merchandising. This internship will offer hands-on experience in understanding garment construction, assisting with visual displays, market research, and merchandising operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of PDF lookbooks and product catalogs.
- Understand basic garment construction and details, including measurement taking and identifying necessary alterations.
- Support in compiling and updating product information and visual merchandising displays.
- Conduct market research and assist in preparing competition mapping reports.
- Stay informed about key designers and current trends within the fashion industry.
- Coordinate with the merchandising team to support daily operations.
Key Requirements:
- Education from a recognized fashion designing institute.
- Understanding of garment construction, fittings, and alterations.
- Proficiency in creating PDF presentations and look books.
- Strong interest in visual merchandising and fashion trends.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
