We’re building a strong community of learners and mentors who work together to help students gain real-world skills. We are now looking for a passionate Python Programming Mentor to guide and empower our students.
Role Overview:
As a Python Mentor, you'll be responsible for teaching Python programming fundamentals and advanced concepts through live sessions, hands-on assignments, and real-world projects. You’ll help learners gain confidence in coding and applying Python for development, automation, or data-driven tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver live online mentorship sessions on Python programming
- Guide students from beginner to intermediate/advanced levels in Python
- Help students build real-world projects like automation tools, CLI apps, mini web apps, and data processors
- Teach core topics: data types, control structures, OOP, file handling, modules, exception handling
- Optionally introduce: APIs, Flask/Django basics, data analysis (Pandas/Numpy), web scraping, or automation
- Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide regular feedback on assignments
- Promote best practices in coding, version control (Git), and debugging techniques
- Support learners in building a GitHub portfolio and preparing for entry-level roles or freelancing
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of work experience in Python development or teaching
- Strong understanding of Python syntax, logic, and practical use cases
- Familiarity with real-world Python applications like scripting, automation, or backend development
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Experience with live teaching, workshops, or recorded content is a plus
- Comfort using Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms for teaching
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in Django/Flask, REST APIs, or FastAPI
- Data analysis or data science exposure (Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.)
- Worked on open-source or collaborative projects
- Prior teaching, bootcamp, or edtech experience
