Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase and Procurement Associate to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement procedures, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, maintain strong relationships with existing vendors, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Procurement Planning: Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and develop procurement strategies to meet business requirements.
- Purchase Orders: Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, delivery terms, and product specifications.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyze spending patterns, negotiate prices, and look for opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and service standards.79
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering of stock, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Documentation: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and related documentation.
- Supplier Evaluation: Regularly assess supplier performance based on delivery timelines, quality of products/services, and pricing. Implement corrective actions if necessary.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new products, and suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement activities, spending, and inventory levels to management.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipping schedules and reduce lead times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, MBA, Engineering degree or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing (1-3 years preferred).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with procurement software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and contracts.
- Knowledge of global and local sourcing strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
