Project Associate position in the government funded research project
Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-1 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, for a Department of Health Research (DHR) sponsored research project (R.11017/14/2023-GIA/HR) titled “ Design, development and performance investigation of neck exoskeleton in prevention and reduction of the neck pain.”

Broad area of Research: Mechanisms design and synthesis, Biomechanics, Optimization, Product
Design, Finite element simulations
Project duration: 3 years Fellowship (Rs.): 31,000 pm+ 9% HRA for eligible candidates

Qualification: Bachelors in Engineering andpostgraduate degree (M.E./M.Tech./M.S.) with first class in Mechanical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Biomechanics.
Required Skills: Fundamental knowledge of mechanisms design, applied mechanics, basic optimization techniques, CAD modelling, product design and programming skills.
Desirable Skills: Passion for problem-solving usinghands-on and mathematical modeling approaches using ANSYS/ OpenSim etc. Knowledge about Biomechanics and musculoskeletal simulations is optional at this stage, but the candidate should be interested in learning the same. Aspiration to pursue PhD on the project topic is desirable.
