Experience: 4 – 8 Years in Sponge Iron/Steel/DRI Plant
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering
Job Summary:
We are hiring a Process Shift Incharge to oversee and control the operation of a Sponge Iron (SID) plant during the assigned shift. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth kiln operations, maintaining process parameters, handling manpower, and ensuring safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor sponge iron production process (Kiln, Cooler, WHRB, ESP, etc.) during the shift.
Ensure optimum process parameters for quality production and high productivity.
Monitor raw material feeding, kiln temperature, pressure, and gas flow as per standard norms.
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and utility departments for smooth operations.
Handle and guide operators, supervisors, and shift staff to achieve production targets.
Troubleshoot operational problems and take corrective measures to reduce downtime.
Maintain proper records of production, shift logbooks, and daily reports.
Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and pollution control norms.
Assist in planning shutdown activities and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Report production performance, deviations, and corrective actions to senior management.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of sponge iron plant operations and process control.
Good leadership and team management skills.
Problem-solving ability with quick decision-making during emergencies.
Knowledge of safety, environment, and statutory compliance in plant operations.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
