CSA – Primary Global Perspectives Teacher
Purpose of Role
The purpose of a Primary Global Perspectives teacher is to foster students' understanding of diverse cultures, ideas, and global issues, helping them develop open-mindedness, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. They aim to encourage students to think globally and act locally, promoting empathy, responsible citizenship, and a broader understanding of the interconnected world. This role also involves designing engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that help young learners appreciate different perspectives and develop skills necessary for active global participation.

CSA Global Perspectives Teacher - Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibilities of a Global Perspectives teacher at the primary level include designing and delivering engaging lessons that explore global issues, cultural diversity, and different viewpoints to foster students’ understanding and curiosity about the world.
- They promote critical thinking and inquiry skills by encouraging students to ask questions, investigate, and reflect on various topics, while creating an inclusive classroom environment that respects and celebrates diverse cultures.
- The teacher also aims to develop students’ empathy and sense of responsible citizenship by inspiring them to consider their role within the global community.
- Additionally, they assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues to integrate global themes across the curriculum, communicate with parents and the wider community, and pursue ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in global education.
