We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Polisher to perform surface finishing and polishing tasks on a variety of materials such as metal, stone, wood, glass, or automotive parts. The ideal candidate will have experience using hand and power tools to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish that meets industry or customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect surfaces and materials to identify imperfections or irregularities.
- Perform grinding, buffing, and polishing to smooth and finish surfaces.
- Operate polishing machines, grinders, sanders, or other relevant tools.
- Apply polishing compounds, sealants, or waxes depending on material type.
- Follow quality control procedures to ensure consistent surface finish.
- Handle materials with care to avoid damage during the polishing process.
- Clean and maintain polishing tools and workstations.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, masks).
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Report defective materials or faulty equipment to supervisors.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a polisher in [metal/stone/automotive/furniture/jewelry] industry.
- Familiarity with different polishing techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications or drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality finishes.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
- Ability to work in dusty or noisy environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in a workshop or factory setting.
