Job Overview

Our Construction company is in search of a Pipe Welder to be a part of our team. You should be able to perform welding tasks using various welding techniques. Besides, you should be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Moreover, you should be able to provide the clients with the work completion timeline and the number of materials required. Also, you should inspect the welding tools and equipment to ensure they remain in working order. You should be able to measure and cut pipes accurately. In addition to this, you should also check that the welded components are free of any holes.

As a Pipe Welder, you should display good physical dexterity and the ability to work for long hours. Furthermore, you should adhere to the industry safety standards and health guidelines at all time. A proven work experience in this area of work will prove to be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  
• Determining the number of materials required and work completion timeline
  
• Assembling and installing pipe components and systems
  

• Welding damaged and broken pipes
  
• Ensuring that the welded parts are free of any holes and defects
  
• Adhering to the health and safety guidelines at all times
  
• Performing pre-welding tasks such as clamping and cutting pipes
  
• Inspecting if all tools and equipment are in working order
  

• Operating heavy machinery such as forklift and cranes when needed
  
• Building and maintaining piping systems
  
• Securing pipes by using brackets and hangers
  
• Cleaning the work area before and after work
  
• Measuring and cutting the pipes accurately

Requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
  
• Holding AWS certification
  
• Proven work experience as a Pipe Welder, Pipe Fitter , or a similar role in the Construction industry
  
• Familiarity with welding and hand tools such as chipping hammer, torch, grinders, and buffers
  

• Knowledge of welding equipment and techniques
  
• Understanding of the health and safety protocols
  
• Having a keen eye for detail
  
• Good time management and organizational skills
  
• Excellent physical dexterity
  

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Strong mathematical and troubleshooting skills
  
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills
  
• Ability to work for long hours and in extreme weather conditions
