Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood, urine, and other biological specimens from patients with proper technique.
- Ensure correct patient identification before sample collection.
- Label and document specimens accurately for laboratory processing.
- Maintain hygiene, sterilization, and infection control standards during sample collection.
- Handle patients with care, ensuring minimal discomfort during procedures.
- Safely store and transport collected samples to the laboratory within stipulated time.
- Maintain stock of phlebotomy supplies (needles, syringes, vacutainers, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining patient records and laboratory registers.
- Follow all safety guidelines for handling sharps and biohazard waste.
- Provide support in laboratory operations when required.
