About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and customer-focused Retail Pharmacist to manage our pharmacy operations in compliance with Indian laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should ensure safe dispensing of medicines, counsel patients effectively, maintain proper records, and uphold the reputation of the pharmacy as a trusted healthcare provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing & Patient Care
- Accurately dispense prescription and OTC medicines as per the doctor’s prescription.
- Counsel patients on the proper use, dosage, and side effects of medications.
- Advise on health, lifestyle, and minor ailments where appropriate.
- Compliance & Legal
- Ensure compliance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Pharmacy Act, 1948.
- Maintain proper documentation of prescriptions, drug registers (especially Schedule H, H1, X drugs).
- Ensure that only licensed pharmacists handle dispensing.
- Inventory & Operations
- Manage stock levels, check expiry dates, and ensure availability of essential medicines.
- Place purchase orders with vendors/wholesalers as required.
- Maintain storage conditions (temperature, humidity) as per regulatory standards.
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent service and build trust with customers.
- Handle billing, insurance claims (if applicable), and resolve queries professionally.
- Quality & Safety
- Ensure medicines are stored safely and dispensed accurately.
- Monitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and duplicate therapy.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- License: Must be a Registered Pharmacist with the State Pharmacy Council of KERALA
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a retail/community pharmacy preferred (freshers with good knowledge may also apply).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medicines, interactions, and pharmacy law.
- Excellent communication & customer service skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ethical practice.
- Basic computer knowledge (billing software, MS Office).

Work Schedule
- 9.30 AM to 6.30PM or 12 PM to 8PM with weekly offs,
